Neddy Jacobs Heritage Day
Hosted by Fiddlers Grove Historic Village
May 28, 2022
9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Expect a full day of fun activities to keep you entertained. Attention all you good cooks! There’s a dumpling cook-off where you can show off your best dumpling recipe. You will be cooking in cast iron over a charcoal grill. Everyone has a chance at bragging rights and there will be first, second and third prizes. There’s no cost to enter. Call 615-547-6111 for an application to enter.
Spend the day shopping with craft vendors, take one of the workshops (quilting, making a corn husk doll, starting your family tree, how to care for cast iron), or sit and listen to some good ole’ fashion music throughout the Grove. Be sure to tour the Grove and stop by the broom shop to see the broom maker at work, watch the Tennessee Wood Turners demonstrating their craft, and visit the model train museum with their large selection of trains. Don’t forget to stop by the General Store and get one of those fried bologna sandwiches with everything on it wrapped in sourdough bread or one of their delicious sundaes or sodas. Yummy! Admission is $5 adults and $4 ages 6-12. Five and under are free.
For more information on the Dumpling Cook-Off, call Fiddlers Grove office at 615-547-6111.
