Any conversation about us really begins when somebody exclaims “Fiddlers Grove? Oh yeah! I love walking around all of the old buildings during the Fair!” As volunteers, we love to hear the excitement people that have visited during the Fair have for Fiddlers Grove. However, there is so much more going on at the Grove all year round that many people have yet to experience.
And that is where you come into the Fiddlers Grove story!
The Fiddlers Grove Foundation has a two-part mission. The first part is easy to see and feel as you walk the quiet wooded lanes among the buildings, for it states that we work “to preserve the history of the citizens of Wilson County, Tennessee by preserving buildings, artifacts, oral and written histories”. However, the second part of our mission is to “engage the public through preservation, interpretation, exhibitions, education, publications, and hands on experiences”.
It is in fulfilling this second part of our mission that we are looking to partner with the local businesses, business- owners, entrepreneurs, organizations and corporations that we value as neighbors here in Middle Tennessee. We are currently in the process of developing two unique educational experiences for local students:
Through these two programs alone, we have already been able to affect the lives of thousands of Middle Tennessee students, through school field trips and individual families’ self-initiated visits. With your support and interest, we aim to improve the quality, relevance and impact of these programs in order to reach thousands more.

We look forward to partnering with you, to help us use the past to make better futures for our area’s students!
