W. W. Hamblen Lumber Office – Built, 1942

Mr. Hamblen operated a sawmill in the Martha community for many years in the early 1900’s. He used this house as an office on South Cumberland Street and W.W. Hamblen Lumber Office shipped hardwood lumber and red cedar all over the United States by rail. Mr. Hamblen also played an important role in WWII supplying the lumber for manufacturing gunstocks for the rifles.

The Hamblen house was relocated to Fiddlers Grove in 1993 and was donated by the Estate of W. W. Hamblen.

The QR code plaque for this building was donated by The Selliers Family, in honor of Armand Tayon, who proudly served in the United States Navy in the Pacific Theater of WWII.
